Jim Engell will be involved as one of four faculty teaching a global honors college seminar on sustainability with a focus on biodiversity (2010 is the UN Year of Biodiversity).  The seminar draws students from nine colleges and universities in North America and Asia and involves online and on site elements, the latter held in August at Waseda University in Tokyo.  The other faculty are a terrestrial biologist from Columbia University, a marine biologist from Singapore National University, and an environmental economist from Peking University.
