He delivered a talk on Thoreau, the Environment, and the American Indian at the Thoreau Society’s 2010 annual meeting, and is scheduled to speak on topics in history of science and religion at upcoming meetings of the Canadian Jacques Maritain Association and the American Historical Association. He is a founding member of the Massachusetts Academy of Science.
