Brent Ranalli will be participating in a panel discussion on Henry David Thoreau's interest in Native Americans at the 70th Annual Gathering of the Thoreau Society, scheduled for July 7-10, 2011 in Concord, Massachusetts. The conference theme is "Thoreau's Environmental Ethos: Then and Now." Mr. Ranalli's contribution is entitled "'Being a pretty good Sachem himself': Thoreau's Indian Virtues." The panel discussion will be held on Thursday, 7 July from 1:30 to 3:00 pm on the Main Floor of the Masonic Temple. Kevin Van Anglen, a member of the Thoreau Society's Board of Directors, will also attend the gathering and preside at a couple of sessions.
